Over 3000 km!

This crack in the asphalt marks the event of this officially becoming our longest cycling trip ever! In 2008 Kaisa and Christoffer cycled 31 days and 3000 kilometers to Nice. This time we're taking it a bit slower with more days off the bikes (back in 2008, when we were still young, we only had one full day off on the whole trip) but today we reached and crossed the 3000-kilometer limit. We still have a couple hundred kilometers to go (if we can trust the roadsigns, which you sometimes can't) so we'll beat our previous record with a pretty good margin.

As for Lina, her previous record was from last summer, 2200 kilometers in Finland and Northern Russia, and we were still in Poland when we broke that limit. Right now it feels like our next trip might be a bit shorter, as there's been a lot of talk about what everyone's going to eat when we get back home to our own kitchen which lies close to a very well-stocked Finnish supermarket. But who knows what the future will bring...
