Excuse me, where's Rynek?
On this trip we've learned that whenever we enter a town we should ask for directions to Rynek. The word refers to the main square in the old town, which is always surrounded by gorgeous old houses. (Maybe there are some cities that only have ugly new houses on the Rynek, but luckily we haven't visited them yet.) These are some photos from the Rynek in L'viv and its surroundings.
We also enjoyed sitting in the large, sloped Ivan Franko park close to our hostel, and the Prospekt Svobody boulevard which was beautifully lit up in the evenings. But somehow there were no photos of them to be found on the memory card. Maybe we were too busy enjoying the warm summer evening and watching all the people passing by.
